On August 28, a delegation led by Saudi Investment Minister H.E. Khalid Al-Falih visited Xinyi Group and attended the "Overseas Investment Intention Meeting" hosted by Xinyi in Wuhu. The event gathered senior executives including Xinyi Glass Executive Director and CEO Mr. Tung Ching Sai, Xinyi Solar Vice President Mr. Liu Xiaorong, and Mr. Cheng Gang, Head of International Investment Development at Xinyi Group, alongside representatives from Xinyi partner enterprises across China. Discussions focused on deepening China-Saudi economic and trade cooperation and promoting integrated development across the glass industry chain.
In his opening address, Mr. Tung Ching Sai extended a warm welcome to the Saudi investment delegation and attending enterprises. He emphasized Xinyi Group’s commitment to open collaboration and mutual benefit in accelerating its global strategy. He noted that Saudi Arabia, as the largest economy in the Middle East and a key node in the Belt and Road Initiative, offers superior geographical advantages, abundant resources, and vast market potential. Against this backdrop, Xinyi—which has already established 15 large modern production bases worldwide—officially commenced preparations for its Saudi project in 2024. The initiative aims to create a new global platform for industrial cooperation and advance in-depth integration and synergy across the glass industry chain.
H.E. Khalid Al-Falih spoke highly of Xinyi Group’s global vision and industrial strength. He stated that the Saudi government will fully support the development of Xinyi’s project in Saudi Arabia, providing a favorable business environment and policy support, and inviting Xinyi’s partners to explore investment opportunities in the Kingdom.
The Saudi delegation conducted a detailed presentation on the investment ecosystem, industrial planning, free zone policies, and key projects under Saudi Vision 2030. A productive exchange session followed, enabling practical dialogue between Saudi officials and Xinyi’s partner companies.
The visit included a tour of Xinyi Glass’s Wuhu Industrial Park and Xinyi Solar’s photovoltaic production base, offering firsthand perspective into the Group’s innovations in technology and achievements in sustainable manufacturing.
